On Tuesday 16th April, we were pleased to welcome Sir Vince Cable and Daisy Cooper from the Lib Dem party and members of the NFU to our Smallford head office.
A good afternoon, with a tour of the glasshouses on site, a discussion on food standards, the agriculture bill and labour post-Brexit, and a visit to the new Smallford Farm Shop to try our delicious produce.
After his visit, Sir Vince Cable tweeted “If we leave on No Deal in October it will be at the worst time for these growers and many others.” Daisy Cooper also tweeted “Really important issues around food standards and the agriculture bill.”
